Our member companies are located in the municipalities Folldal, Alvdal and Stor-Elvdal in Hedmark County and Ringebu in Oppland County. Folldal has Norway’s highest town hall accompanied by a stable inland climate with low rainfall. The climate is fairly similar in Alvdal and Stor-Elvdal. The companies on the mountain plateau Venabygdsfjellet in Ringebu can experience hot and dry periods in the summer, but also periods with high rainfall. On warm summer days in all of the municipalities, you will need to wear shorts and t-shirts, but on a cold summer’s day woollen underwear is the right choice. The temperature can also drop in the evening, meaning there may be major differences between the temperatures during the day and at night.
