Folldal Mines is a national technical cultural heritage. The mining community, built in 1906, is still intact and well preserved. Gruvekroa café is centrally located in the mining area, sharing the house with the museum and the traditional working exhibition.
The café is open every summer, as well as in winter holidays, autumn holidays, Easter and Christmas. Here you will find traditional Norwegian food, from local producers, as well as international dishes, and cakes. Everything made from scratch.
The café can serve approx. 100 people, and is suitable for celebration of birthday, confirmation and wedding, and it´s really godd as a base for businesses and courses.
Eat and sleep on the roof of Norway with a view to Rondane National Park! Stay in the modernized Workers Cottage Rallarstua, or the cozy Directors Residence and return to 1910`s when Director Worm H. Lund lived there, or choose the old office building House 16.
Opening hours Gruvekroa café 2018
Gruvekroa opens for the season June 1 and is open until even autumn holidays, 11 am-6 pm.At the beginning of the season it is only open on weekends. For more information and opening hours otherwise in the year, take a look at our website.
