The summer mountain farm Bergseng Sæter is a farmyard comprising seven restored traditional wooden buildings, the oldest of which dates from 1793. Bergseng Sætra has belonged to the Bergseng farm since the 17th century.
The summer mountain farm offers facilities for self-catering, 12-volt solar power for electric lighting, refrigerated storage room, water and waste water connection, duvets and pillows (bring your own linen) and communal laundry, toilets and shower with gas-heated water in the old barn.
Guests may stay in the holiday houses, Plasstugu (40 m²), Gamlestugu (38 m²), Geithuset (25 m²) and Nystugu Ytre (18 m²), all of which are suitable for families. These holiday houses on the summer mountain farm feature traditional furnishings, a bedroom, kitchen and lounge. Veslestugu (22 m²) is suitable for 2-3 persons.
There are good outdoor areas round the summer mountain farm with pleasant seating areas for young and old alike. Close to the farm there are also good areas for hiking and nature and culture trails. The summer mountain farm is also an excellent base for mountain summit climbs in the area.
The river is great for a refreshing dip, but we also have a hot tub with warmer water. You can fish for brown trout by rod in the nearby rivers, Grimsa or Tverrelv.
